We will explore a new way of working the upper body: we will tackle the most common source of client complaints – the back, shoulders, and neck – but from new angles. Instead of focusing around the spine, we will create change from multiple directions. We will work not just the rhomboids and traps, but all the way around the scapulae, the ribs, and even through the axilla. We will move beyond the back of the neck, to the front of the neck, and the chest. Working from these new angles, we will use simple, but deeply effective techniques to uncover postural holding patterns and excess muscular tension. We will create dramatic change in our clients’ posture and body awareness, while also challenging and revitalizing our own ways of working. Please bring sheets, pillowcase, and oil/cream.
