Dojo (道場 dōjō) is a Japanese term that literally means “place of the way.”
Thai Massage Dojo Part 1 and Part 2 are a series of classes where we actually have the time to cover all of the moves that are introduced in the Thai 101 handbook.
Weekly classes also include theory lessons and topics for discussion, such as mindset and intention, Thai culture, and the rich history associated with the art of Thai massage. The demos include detailed explanations and time to practice each one fully, along with weekly opportunities to experience the work from a partner. Time is also set aside for feedback before moving on.
Each lesson is intended to be its own complete package, and participants are encouraged to attend one or two or any number for $50 each and expect to find themselves using something new for their ongoing practice regardless of their principal modality. Students must complete all of the lessons in order to earn 20 CEs. Make-up classes are offered by arrangement.
Thai Massage Dojo Part 1 includes supine, inverted and sitting positions.
