CATA’s Thai Massage Clinics offer low-cost Thai massage for the general public and supervised practice for LMTs.
The Thai Clinic offers massage therapists an opportunity for supervised practice with the benefit of also receiving the work, providing a fully proprioceptive understanding of the various techniques. In addition to the physical bodywork, the focus is on developing the spiritual and energetic aspects of the practice, leading to a fuller experience for both practitioner and client.
Please note that pre-registration is required–no drop-ins. Please bring a flat sheet and loose-fitting or flexible clothing. Prior to your first Clinic, you will need to fill out a health history form.
In each Thai Clinic, students get one hour of practice and a one-hour treatment.
The clinic is offered directly after Thai Massage: Beginner’s Thai, and will count towards the supervised practice sessions needed to receive certification in Thai Massage.
For non-massage therapists interested in receiving low-cost treatment, the Thai Clinic is the perfect and affordable opportunity to experience this deeply relaxing form of bodywork.
