CATA’s Thai Massage Clinic offers low-cost Thai massage for the general public and supervised practice for LMTs. Please arrive at 12:15pm.
In the Thai Clinic, we pay attention to participants’ specific conditions rather than following a lesson plan.
The Thai Clinic offers massage therapists an opportunity for supervised practice with the benefit of also receiving the work, providing a fully proprioceptive understanding of the various techniques. In addition to the physical bodywork, the focus is on developing the spiritual and energetic aspects of the practice, leading to a fuller experience for both practitioner and client. Massage therapists who attend 6 Clinics will receive 12 CEs for the Thai Massage Practicum (NCBTMB/NY Certified).
Please note that pre-registration is required–no drop-ins. Please bring a flat sheet and loose-fitting or flexible clothing. Prior to your first Clinic, you will need to fill out a health history form.
In each Thai Clinic, students get one hour of practice and a one-hour treatment.
For non-massage therapists interested in receiving low-cost treatment, the Thai Clinic is the perfect and affordable opportunity to experience this deeply relaxing form of bodywork.
