Thai Massage 101 is a 16-hour course that presents the fundamentals of a traditional Thai massage protocol. The course endeavors to introduce students to a distinct Eastern-based massage modality that will provide wider marketing potential to employers and clients.
Thai Massage offers students and clients a comprehensive set of tools which are effective for addressing the body, mind and spirit including a framework for the stretching techniques that it is most widely known for. We will define a meditative approach to the methods drawing from the same origins as Ayurvedic and Traditional Chinese Medicine. We discuss some theory and and backstory at the beginning of each segment and then get right into how to do the work. Students have an opportunity to experience the effects while they receive the practice of their partners as well as a chance to try the techniques out under the guidance of the instructors.
CATA is now offering the course as an intensive, which means that we aim to cover the material in 4 Meetings on consecutive Sundays. We have scheduled it in a new time slot as well, so if you have not been able to join us on Tuesdays, here is your chance. Students may attend a single part for $99, but must attend the full workshop and maintain a massage license to earn 16 CE NCBTMB/NY Certificate.
Reinhold, LMT began his study of Thai massage here in New York, but it quickly became evident to him that he needed to go to the source.
