Learn Thai Massage, Get CEs, and Receive Bodywork!

CATA’s Thai Massage Teaching Clinic offers supervised practice in a clinic setting for LMTs at all levels of experience. Each week we will focus on you and your bodywork goals that day and tailor a supervised session to meet your specific needs. The Clinic provides each practitioner/student a kinesthetic learning opportunity while also working to resolve their specific conditions and bodywork goals. Students will be asked to either provide objectives they hope to resolve for themselves or for a client they are working with in their practice. Our goal is to provide each practitioner with valuable experience and tools for working with clients and solving problems.

Be a Practitioner and a Patient!

The Thai Clinic offers a unique opportunity for massage therapists to participate in a supportive and supervised teaching clinic with the added benefit of also receiving the work. There is a strong emphasis on body mechanics to promote longevity and efficiency. In addition, to the physical bodywork, we focus on developing the spiritual and energetic aspects of the practice, leading to a fuller experience for both the practitioner and the client.

Thai Massage 101 is an eight-day, 16-hour course that presents the fundamentals of a traditional Thai massage protocol. The course endeavors to introduce students to a distinct Eastern-based massage modality that will provide an alternative approach to Western massage techniques and a wider marketing potential to employers and clients.

Thai Massage offers massage therapists and their clients an alternative approach to massage using popular stretching and yoga-like postures in a rhythmic meditative method influenced by Ayurvedic Medicine while organizing a vast collection of massage techniques along the energy pathways within the body similar to Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Practitioners of all modalities will find these lessons useful for a wide range of musculoskeletal and energetic imbalances.

The course is constructed in eight sessions to help students fully assimilate the material each week between the lessons.  Each class is a self-contained session including theory, intention, and technique so students may attend a single day class for $85, but must attend all eight classes and maintain a massage license to earn 16 CE NCBTMB/NY Certificate.
