In this Spring/Fall training we will focus on how sound and vibration affect and balance the human bio-field. Through different modalities, disciplines and traditions, we will explore the use of sound and vibrational tools to understand and bring wholeness and equanimity to our body-mind consciousness.
Students will come away with a clear and in-depth understanding of the vibrational body, the science of how sound affects the neuroendocrine system, as well as deep listening skills to develop and enhance one’s ability to connect deeper with clients, patients and students.

This program is designed for healing arts practitioners and clinicians interested in developing their understanding and skills in working with sound and vibrational therapies. Examples of disciplines that would benefit from this training include:
Music Therapists, Body Workers, Psychotherapists, Sound Practitioners, Yoga Teachers, Medical Professionals
We will meet for total of 6 weekends – 3 in the Spring of 2018 and 3 in the Fall of 2018.

Individual Weekends: $350 each
During the summer break, students will work on developing their own individual studies and vision. Joseph and Katie will provide mentorship and supervision during the summer months to help students hone their skills and focus on their goals as well as help them create a proposal for their final project at the end of the full training. Certificates of completion will be given at
end of course. (This program does not offer CEs for LMTs).

I have completed a day long workshop with Katie Down in elements of sound theory…what resonates most with me is her ability to authentically create a space of profound presence.
Joseph presented a lecture packed with useful information, followed by with individual attention to each student. Student were left with a tool box of usable skills, informed by their own experiential learning and his expertise.
Who Are We?
Katie Down, MT-BC, LCAT is a licensed creative arts therapist, psychotherapist, and Reiki practitioner offering integrative psychotherapy, EMDR, music and sound therapy for individuals and groups as well as clinical supervision. Joseph Schmidlin, DO-MTP, LMT is a classical osteopath and sound practitioner with over 25 years of teaching and practice in the field of energy medicine, including traditional Chinese medicine and Ayurveda. He utilizes sonic vibrational medicine and Nada Yoga in his practice, frequently leading sound immersions and meditations.
