A practical approach to assessing and creating progressive treatment plans for common injuries and conditions.

This course is designed to assist LMTs in developing a greater understanding
of the nature of common injuries and conditions, resulting in more effective field
assessment, and thus more effective and lasting treatment strategies. An in-depth look
at the nature of soft tissue will provide greater insight into how
the tissue becomes injured in the first place and how it heals. A brief
review of normal and faulty muscle recruitment patterns will be discussed in order
to further the therapist’s understanding as to how muscles respond to stress, and
then deepening the understanding as to how pain and dysfunction may develop.

8 hours Trunk

8 hours Upper extremity and cervical spine

8 hours Lower extremity

All classes will include discussion and group participation in hands-on assessment
and result presentation lab. There will be hands-on demos and treatment strategies
for different conditions.
