If you’ve studied and practiced prenatal massage but want a refresher with some new, exciting, advanced side-lying techniques and plenty of hands-on time, this intimate workshop is the jumpstart class for you. We’ll revisit major physiologic and structural changes related to late pregnancy, common discomforts which can be relieved by massage, joint mobilization and myofascial techniques in a short lecture and Q&A. Then we’ll take a short break followed by 2 hours of hands on practice time with pregnant women. Belly mapping will be included. Participants will work in pairs with lots of attention from the instructor and receive an instructional DVD. Prerequisite: knowledge of and prior classroom experience with prenatal massage. What to bring: 2 sheets, 1 large towel, oil (NOT cream) and a notebook.
