The Core in 3D: This series of three classes is designed to look at the form and function of the core in a fully integrated and functional way. Material will be applicable to both practitioner and client, emphasizing safety, effectiveness, and contraindications. The three classes are BFFs: Abdominals and Spinal Extensors; Looking at All Sides of the Core: The Obliques and Lateral Trunk Muscles; and Considering the Shoulder Girdle in Relation to the Core.
BFFs: Abdominals and Spinal Extensors: A truly strong core requires more than just abdominal work, and this first class looks at the critical relationship between the deep abdominals and spinal extensors by examining the anatomy and actions of this musculature, learning exercises that activate them, practicing teaching them to clients, and primary contraindications.
