In this class we will look at the skills and techniques necessary for freehand insertion of acupuncture needles while staying within the parameters of clean needle technique. We will practice multiple methods of freehand insertion, and exercises will be given for further cultivation.
We will also examine the relationship between the movement of qi in the practitioner and the movement of qi at the acupuncture point. We will discuss the difference between obtaining and manipulating qi, and practice harmonizing the channel by directing sensation with the flow of qi. Again, exercises will be given for further cultivation.
Mark Gross has been a licensed acupuncturist since 2008. He practices in the Flatiron District, using a variety of East Asian medical modalities including tui na, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and medical qigong.Registration / Cancellation Policies
