Short Route to the Twist – 4 CEs

This 3-hour class focuses on techniques targeting the spinal column and related structures. In this course, the student will learn Thai massage techniques performed on a mat, but students will find that they can quickly adapt what they have learned to a massage table or massage chair. The class starts with an assessment and students will benefit from both, practicing the techniques and receiving the work. Students will learn techniques that may be applied to sessions on the massage table with a strong emphasis on working with good body mechanics.

Thai Massage Moves That Massage Therapists LOVE to Have Done To Them – 6 CEs

This series of classes consists of two, 3-hour classes offering 6 CEs. On day one the class presents specialized techniques targeting hand, wrist, forearm, shoulder girdle, and low-back pain. On the second day, additional detailed hand massage techniques are offered and focus on balancing the posterior and anterior torso while integrating prone and seated protocols for the low-back and shoulder girdle. The class provides therapists with tools for treating common problem areas to enhance therapeutic value for clients and practitioners alike. Class starts with an assessment followed by a demo where both students have the opportunity to practice and receive the work in tandem with the instructor. Each class is a stand-alone lesson that offers specialized treatments catering to people with hard-working hands. Students may benefit from repeating classes since each class is tailored for the students in class that day with protocols constantly evolving.

Thai Massage For the Chair – 6 CEs

This series of classes consists of two, 3-hour classes offering 6 CEs. The class is for LMTs of all levels and offers Thai Massage techniques targeting the upper body. The student will learn Thai massage techniques using a massage chair, offering the therapist a marketing opportunity to provide Thai massage in diverse settings (road races, airports, street fairs, nail salons, etc.). Each class starts with an assessment. Afterward, students pair up and take turns practicing the lesson in tandem with the instructor, allowing time to practice and receive the work of each lesson. The sequence focuses on the upper back and shoulders, engaging the fascia following a systematic sequence designed to reduce tension in the trapezius, rhomboid, and paraspinal muscles. Students will learn to assess the back and shoulders within a brief protocol which can be easily extrapolated into an effective 10-minute stand-alone treatment, including ROM techniques using acupressure points. Each class is a stand-alone lesson that offers specialized treatments catering to people with hard-working hands. Students may benefit from repeating classes since each class is tailored for the students in class that day with protocols constantly evolving. As an alternative to the full 2-part series, students may attend a single class with the opportunity to earn 6CEs upon completion of both classes in the series

Table Thai – 16 CEs

This Series consists of four, 4-hour classes offering 16 CEs. Table Thai offers massage therapists who might have physical limitations or limited space, an alternative to practicing on the floor, and for giving fatigued hands, thumbs, and minds a break from their typical massage regimen. Thai techniques can be incorporated into traditional Swedish massage or stand alone as a full-body massage session. In this 16-hour class, we will demonstrate techniques in supine, prone, seated, and side-lying positions for performing a comprehensive full-body session.

NOTE: Full/Specialty Program Certificates require an additional 12 CE Practicum Hours for Table Thai.

Full Body Massage For the Hands  4 CEs*

This 3-hour class focuses on techniques for alleviating stress and tension for hard-working hands with over-use conditions. The class starts with an assessment and students will benefit from both, practicing the techniques, and receiving the work. Students will learn techniques that may be applied to sessions on the massage table or in a massage chair with a strong emphasis on working with good body mechanics.

Luk Pra Kob (Thai Herbal Compress Therapy) – 6 CEs

This series consists of two 3-hour classes offering 6 CEs, presenting techniques and theory for practitioners who intend to specialize in Thai Massage. In this course, the student will learn Thai Herbal Compress theory and many methods using traditional herbs, a steamer and a massage mat on the floor. This course offers an opportunity to expand the work they already do with the customer in supine, side-lying, and seated positions, offering the therapist a unique system to enhance the therapeutic value of treatments and reduce the demand on their hands at the same time.

This course allows students to add to their knowledge of self-care, participate in discussions, and pair up with classmates for practical application, both giving and receiving and providing and receiving feedback for each other each day.
