Dr. Daniel White, DC
The SACROILIAC JOINT was described in medical literature as recently as 60 years ago as an immovable joint. Cineradiology has disproved that notion, and it is now known that normal and healthy movement of the sacroiliac joint is critical to a healthy and well- functioning low back and pelvis. This class will include a brief overview of the anatomy of the region, motion palpation techniques to establish whether there is normal movement in the joint, as well as tests for muscles that influence normal movement of the sacroiliac and associated joints.
Dr. Daniel White D.C. has been a practicing chiropractor in NYC for over 25 years specializing in the care of dancers. In addition to patient care, Dr. White has taught classes for Massage Therapists (at Massage Space NYC) and a course for dancers, INJURY PREVENTION FOR DANCERS, as a part of David Howard’s Dance Teacher’s Training around the country. He was also a guest teacher at the First International Congress of Classical and Contemporary Ballet in Mexico. His work with dancers has been influenced by having been a dancer himself, a Pilates instructor, a Shiatsu practitioner, and from his experience practicing yoga for over 30 years.Registration / Cancellation Policies
