In this two hour Master Class, explore the world of essential oils and their use in Aromatherapy with a particular focus on what Aromatherapy is and how it can enhance Massage Therapy practices, as well as cautions and contraindications. Learn how essential oils are produced, taken in and used in the body. Considerations for choosing essential oils and blending will be discussed. Make and take home your own custom essential oil blend.

Bonnie Stetson, B.S., LMT, ICA is a 1986 Graduate of the Swedish Institute and has been a NYS Licensed Massage Therapist practicing with people and horses for 30 years. Since graduating from the Swedish Institute she has studied many massage modalities including Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, Trager, Thai Massage and Ayurvedic Massage, earning certifications in Aromatherapy, Medical Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage. Bonnie practices Therapeutic Massage drawing on many techniques to address each client’s individual needs. Bonnie has always been fascinated with the plant world, studying herbs and essential oils and utilizing Aromatherapy in her massage practice. She developed a line of Aromatherapy massage and body oils as part of Natural Rest Aromatherapy using the principles of medical aromatherapy and scent memory. Bonnie believes that Aromatherapy adds a powerful dimension to any massage and needn’t be limited to its own practice. Bonnie also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont and is a US Pony Club Graduate A. She has a home in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania where she practices equine massage, trains her Off Track Thoroughbred and teaches riding.
